21-year-old South Florida rapper wifisfuneral has taken his dark sonics, mature-beyond-his-years lyrics, and trunk rattling bass from the streets of Palm Beach to the world, amassing over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 700,000 followers on various social media platforms. wifisfuneral’s growth has been organic and cult-like, with his fans spreading his music like wildfire with each and every release. His major label debut mixtape, Boy Who Cried Wolf, received critical acclaim, with two of the tracks earning placement in the Spotify’s coveted Most Necessary playlist. His latest mixtape, Ethernet, was released in June 2018 via Alamo Records. In 2018, wifisfuneral was officially named to the XXL Freshman List and reached #1 on YouTube’s trending chart. Maryland-based rapper Jay IDK (aka IDK) was born Jason Mills in London in 1992. His direct and often nakedly autobiographical rhymes became a signature of his style and he quickly gained exposure and new followers after beginning to perform publicly and release music around 2014. IDK stands for “Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge” another signifier of his often vulnerable lyrical style. He released a string of mixtapes, starting with Sex, Drugs & Homework in 2014, following with SubTrap the next year and Empty Bank the year after that. These prolific years also saw Jay IDK collaborating with musicians such as Deniro Farrar, Cole King, and Jimi Tents as well as sharing stages with better-known rappers. His debut album, IWASVERYBAD, was released in 2017 on the Adult Swim label. The record featured cameos by a host of well-known names, including Chief Keef, DOOM, and even veteran West Coast talent Del the Funky Homosapien.

Memphis native Chris Travis makes hazy, narcotic trap inspired by artists like Three 6 Mafia, Tommy Wright III, and Boosie Badazz.
He first gained notice as a member of SpaceGhostPurrp’s Raider Klan, which he joined in 2011 after the recommendation of members Amber London and Key Nyata. He appeared on some of their mixtapes and performed with them, but he left around 2013 to concentrate on his solo work, as well as his Water Boyz label. Mixtapes appeared at a rate of about four per year, and Travis’ 2013 video “Crunch Time” became a viral hit. In 2014, Travis and fellow ex-Raider Klan members Xavier Wulf and Eddy Baker joined up with Michigan-based rapper Bones to form Seshollowaterboyz. Travis also collaborated with Bones on a 2014 EP titled SeaBeds, as well as Robb Bank$ for 2015’s No Trespassing. Travis also guested on tracks by Yung Simmie, $uicideboy$, and Fat Nick.
Chris Travis co-headlined with Xavier Wulf and Bones on his American Wasteland Tour in 2018 and Eddy Baker on his WaterSZN Tour 2017 as direct and only support.

Oakland-born, Atlanta-based singer/rapper Robert Davis first recorded as Rolls Royce Rizzy, pinged the radar of a certain luxury automobile manufacturer, and subsequently altered his name to Royce Rizzy. Davis settled on 24hrs following a brief affiliation with Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label. A more R&B-oriented outlet for Davis — with pitch-altered, bottom-heavy slow jams the M.O., placing him somewhere between the-Dream and frequent collaborator Ty Dolla $ign — 24hrs debuted in 2016 with multiple bundles of SoundCloud uploads and Open, an EP released commercially through Private Club. The eight-track follow-up Night Shift followed in 2017, at which point Davis had also racked up outside collaborations with the likes of MadeinTYO (his brother), Ty, G-Eazy, and Blackbear. A full-length, Houses on the Hill, arrived in 2018 and included the single “Fifty Ball,” featuring Moneybagg Yo and Smokepurpp.

MadeinTYO has managed to carve out a spot for himself amongst this new generation of rappers with his mixtapes You Are Forgiven and Thank You, Mr. Tokyo. His debut single “Uber Everywhere” shot up the radio charts, landing in the top 10 and achieving double platinum certification from the RIAA. The internet started to buzz. With over a billion streams, MadeinTYO caught the attention of hip-hop’s biggest tastemakers including Complex, the FADER, Noisey and earning him a spot as a member of XXL’s 2017 Freshmen class.
His single “Skateboard P” peaked at #8 on urban radio and is now RIAA certified platinum. MadeinTYO called on Big Sean for a “Skateboard P” remix. The music video broke the internet, making both MadeinTYO and Big Sean a top trending topic on social media.
All of this momentum leaves MadeinTYO poised to become one of the biggest names in hip hop with the release of his debut album Sincerely, Tokyo. The new album is led by standout single “Ned Flanders” feat. A$AP Ferg, which has racked up over 70 million streams to date.
His commitment to his craft has not only created several hits like “Deep Breathes” but has also created a signature festival trap sound. Lookas has performed at some of the biggest electronic music events including Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowworld, Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Safe in Sound, and Bassrush.

If anyone could be called leader of the modern mess of a rap crew—Awful Records—it would be Father. He was an art school dropout who founded “Awful Media Group” as a video and branding service in Atlanta, later turning to music as an experiment.
With the help of Key!, ILoveMakonnen & a slew of Awful Records artists, he made an unlikely first breakthrough with his first LP, Young Hot Ebony, in 2014. Since then, he has carved himself out an independent sweet spot, having grown and maintained a core fan base with two more full-length projects: Who’s Gonna Get F*cked First? (2015), I’m A Piece of Sh*t (2016) and Awful Swim (2018) in collaboration with Adult Swim. But contrary to what the title of his third and most recent LP suggests, Father has made a point to shed his own light on others. He has helped jumpstart the music careers of Playboi Carti, ABRA and Tommy Genesis, to name a few. Today, his multimedia operation stands as a monument to the DIY corner of the entertainment industry.

Nessly strives for singularity. The Atlanta-based rapper, singer, and producer carefully ensures that each song stands out just as much as his colorful psychedelic aesthetic does.
That philosophy continues to serve him well. At the age of 12, he began rapping in the basement of his brother’s buddy under the influence of Gorillaz, Sade, Santana, and a personal favorite—Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak. Post-high school, he forewent college to pursue his dream, teaching himself how to produce, mix, and engineer. Cultivating a following, he would sell clothes in order to buy Greyhound tickets to perform countless underground shows in Toronto and New York City.
As his Soundcloud quietly grew, Drake’s OVO Radio became an early supporter, featuring the likes of “Alive,” “Giddy Up,” and “Season.” Meanwhile, Pharrell’s OtherTONE played “Catch A Vibe.” 2016 saw him release not one but two projects, namely Still Finessin and Solo Boy Band.
As he embarked on a high- profile tour with Ugly God, he joined forces on collaborations with Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, A$AP Mob, and more between inking a deal with Republic Records in 2017. This gradual rise can be credited to his Avant Garde and truly alternative take on hip-hop…
Garnering praise from Complex, Pigeons and Planes, and Noisey, The Fader wrote, “NESSLY sets himself apart with his Solo Boy Band project,” and XXL described how “[he takes] his sonics to an untouchable level that will challenge the industry.”
